Fortuna Teen Court is partnering with the Arcata Police Department to bring the Parent Project to the Eel River Valley. The event will be held at Fortuna High School Wellness Center.
Parent Project is a 10-week series where we discuss topics like improving family relationships, using effective discipline to improve school attendance and performance, reducing substance use and negative peer influences, and addressing destructive behavior. It is an opportunity to meet with other parents in similar situations in a judgment-free zone and begin to develop a new support system. Parent Project has been around for over 30 years and was created, tried, and tested by parents dealing with "Strong-Willed" children.
We are excited to bring this course to our community and look forward to seeing you in class!
