AR we have so many talented artists in our school. Let's win this thing!!!! The Humboldt County “I Voted” Sticker Contest is open to all Humboldt County residents. Participants under 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to enter. Participants can submit their art into one of two categories: youth or adult. You may submit a hand drawn or digital piece of art. The winning designs in each category will be featured on official "I Voted" stickers for upcoming elections through 2027. These events are open to students, staff, and community members, and are designed to create inclusive, supportive spaces for women+ to explore skills in the trades. No experience necessary! Creating Spaces: DIY Workshop for Women+ Intro Level: Tools of the Trade Learn the basics of hand tools, measuring, fasteners, and power tools in a welcoming, beginner-friendly setting. Community Service Opportunity A volunteer event focused on improving endangered salmonid habitat in the Jacoby Creek Watershed will take place on May 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Kokte Ranch and Nature Preserve, in partnership with the Jacoby Creek Land Trust. Volunteers will remove invasive plants along the creek and replace them with new native ones.

Last Community Meeting of the 24/25 School Year! We were visited by Fortuna Rotary who awarded REBAR a check for helping out with their fundraiser. The AR Youth Human Rights Commission of Humboldt County is looking for new members to replace the graduating 4th years! Academy of the Redwoods - April Student of the Month!! Sasha Huber Sasha says: I want to thank my parents Alexis and Ross Huber. I have lived in Garberville for most of my life, but decided to go to AR because it fit my interests and goals more. After high school I am planning on going to college, likely at UC Berkeley or San Francisco State University. During my free time I enjoy reading, writing, watching movies, and hanging out with friends. Going to AR has given me many opportunities I would never have had if I went to a different school. I’ve enjoyed taking a variety of college classes and figuring out what I am interested in. It’s been nice to attend a school that prioritizes my education.
