Brian was admitted to several schools, including Embry Riddle and CSU Long Beach, but he is currently most excited about the prospect of attending UCLA, UC Davis, or Cal Poly Humboldt! Congratulations, Brian!

Through the month of April, AR will be highlighting the accomplishments of our 4th Year students! Today's 4th Year Spotlight is Solari Duncan. Solari was accepted to three CSU campuses and has committed to attending CSU Long Beach in the fall! Congratulations, Solari!

Drake was accepted to three schools and is most interested in UC Merced and Sacramento State! We can't wait to find out which school you'll choose. Congratulations, Drake!

The FUHSD staff spotlight this week is Lynsey Molina! Lynsey has worked for our district for eight years. She teaches PE and Foundations at AR. Lynsey currently serves as the Commissioner of the Coast Basketball League and the head coach of the AR team! Lynsey is from Cordova, Alaska, and used to be a commercial fisherman in Prince William Sound. She was recruited by HSU out of high school to play volleyball and our community is lucky for it! She has been married to her husband, Mike, for three years, and they are parents to a smiley, angelic two-year-old, Iolana. She enjoys spending time outside, hiking in the redwoods, swimming in the rivers and playing volleyball at the beach. Lynsey is an incredible asset to our district and consistently steps up to support her colleagues and her students!

Ace plans to attend College of the Redwoods next year to prepare for transfer to Southern Oregon University! Congratulations on all you have accomplished, Ace!

Congratulations to AR 4th Year Lylian Lopez (second from left)! On Thursday morning Lylian was honored as Soroptomist Girl of the Month by Soroptomist International of Humboldt Bay! Lylian attended their meeting and shared her accomplishments at AR as well as her higher education and career goals. The AR Argus team brought home multiple Jackies at Cal Poly Humboldt High School Media Day! Malik Daleal won Best Editorial for "Graffiti Epidemic: Art or Vandalism?" Randi Maveety won 2nd Place in Best News Story for her feature on Rex Bohn's visit to AR, Best Headline for "I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream in Terror," and Best Review for a rundown of different restrooms at CR! Max Schultz won Best Environmental Reporting for "Red Abalone: Brought to the Brink," and Naomi Harrison won Best Cartoon for "Ark Adventures!"
