Academy of the Redwoods will not have school on Monday, January 16th in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Martin Luther King is best known for his work on racial equality and ending racial segregation in the United States.

Today AR’s illustrious English teacher Gini Wozny became even more illustrious—she was honored as one of nine statewide nominees for the California Association of Teachers of English Award for Classroom Excellence!!! We are so proud of Ms. Wozny. The panel shared that they were blown away by the adoring words of support written by her students!!!

Power is back on at campus! We will have school tomorrow, Wednesday, and hold our end of semester Winter Assembly in the CR Theater starting at 8:30. Lunch will be served at 11:30 outside of the CR Theater. It is a minimum day and school will end at 12:30 when the FUHSD bus arrives for pick up.
The SSC is off limits to all students until further notice.

Wednesday, December 21st is the last day of AR's Fall Semester. All students must report to the CR Theater and check in with their TIER teacher by 8:30 am for the Winter Assembly. We will release for lunch at 11:30. Lunch will be served at the office. The FUHS Bus will leave College of the Redwoods promptly at 12:30 pm. There will be an outlying bus service, but it will not leave Fortuna High School until 3:40pm.
College Textbooks need to be turned in to the AR Library tomorrow.
