INTERNATIONAL LATINO FILM FESTIVAL: Celebrating its 26th year, Cal Poly Humboldt presents the Annual Latino Film Festival at The Minor Theater in Arcata, February 24, 25, & 26th from 6:00 p.m. to 10:20 p.m. Students and the general public are invited to view three outstanding films relating to the theme āWomen, Power, & Politics:ā La historia oficial (Monday, February, 24th, Directed by Luis Puenzo, 1985, Argentina), In the Time of the Butterflies (Tuesday, February 25th, Directed by Mariano Barroso, 2001, Dominican Republic), and La Llorona ( Wednesday, February 26th, Directed by Jayro Bustamante, 2019, Guatemala). The festival is free to attend!
REBAR HANGOUT:
Hey AR students! Join us for an awesome REBAR hangout on Friday, February 28th, from 3-6PM in the Lakeview Room! There will be food, games, and tons of fun, but we are requesting all who attend bring food or drink to share! Please feel free to bring your own games or activities as well. We hope to see you there!"
COMMUNITY MEETING: Thursday 2/13 at 12:15 in front of the CR theater! Check-in with your tier teacher and then get seated in your section to enjoy getting together as a community!
AR BASKETBALL
Coast League basketball will be starting back up at the end of this month, which means we are ready to begin practices and create our team! Practices will begin on February 25th and will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 445-6 in the Field House and are open to everyone interested in playing this season. If you plan to attend, please bring your own water as the fountain is unreliable. Cold and Flu season is upon us. To decrease the risk of colds and flu at school, please:
Wash your hands
Cough and Sneeze into your elbow
Keep your hands away from your nose and mouth
Do not share any food or drink with others
Avoid close contact with people who are sick
Please stay at home if you are feverish, coughing a lot, or are otherwise unwell

DEADLINES: Seniors! The deadline to submit a few important things is slowly approaching. Please remember to submit the following;
- Senior "baby" pictures by 2/14 at 3pm.
- Senior quotes and portraits by 2/20 at 3pm.
All the information and forms are linked below in the announcements and should be sent out to Class of 2025 classroom as well. Thank you!
SENIOR "BABY" PICTURES: Please submit 3 to 5 pictures of yourself from baby to grade school for the slideshow that will be presented at the end of the year assembly and played at the beginning of graduation. One of these will also be used in the yearbook. Questions? Email gwozny@fuhsdistrict.net
